Yes. It is Friday. I'm VERY happy for that. This Friday is particularly special because I will be off all the way through Monday (thank god).
Anyways, here was today in a nutshell:
Breakfast consisted of my toast w/ peanut butter. Don't worry, I finally finished that whole wheat bread I was talking about in previous posts (right before the expiration date! yeyy! LOL). So, hopefully no more bread and peanut butter for breakfast in a while. I also had some fruit of course (Similar to the fruit cup from yesterday).
Lunch was a garden salad w/ Olives, feta cheese and a little bit of EVOO with vinegar PLUS a turkey sandwich. I was at a meeting at work while having lunch. Hence, felt a little weird to take a photo of my food in front of top executives. I REALLY hope you guys understand :)
Finally, I appear to be in a salad rut because this is what I had for dinner today:
(Romaine lettuce, avocado, grilled pork chop and olive oil and vinegar as dressing).
To make my lunch more "whole" I also had 1 whole wheat tortilla which I heated up before consuming because they just taste better that way:
Finally, as a post dinner snack (couple of hours later) I had a cup of yogurt with blackberries and a little bit of granola:
I also had some decaffeinated green tea:
Tomorrow and this weekend I'm supposed to be keeping myself busy with friends just hanging out and catching up on life. Cannot wait for that. Now I'm off to reading and relaxing for a bit.
What am I reading? Well, I was browsing through Target the other day and I found this book:
I'm a little bit embarrassed to show it because I think I have a personal issue with food. I haven't finished reading it but in a nutshell it talks about how people substitute food for living and sometimes I feel like that's what I do. The book is like therapy. It examines the reason for certain behavior in people that overeat and a lot of it makes sence to me. Will give you guys the final review once I finish it. So far so good :D
