We're in New York?!?!

Hey everyone! I've been wanting to post this since saturday night but my computer was acting up. Specifically my blogger provider. Problem is not completely solved yet but, here we are.

Sooo saturday morning/early afternoon I met up with some of my coworkers for lunch. I grabbed some strawberries and a granola bar before I left the house as I HAVE to eat breakfast no matter what. Also, I was meeting with a few people coming from different places so the exact time of eating was undetermined.

We met up at a town which was "middle grown" for everyone-- Manhasset, NY. Ok so, honestly, I had never heard of the place. Is between Long Island and Queens--maybe more towards queens very close to Bayside. The restaurant we picked was called CIPOLLINI.

It is a cute Italian restaurant located right next the Manhasset Mall (which is also beautiful). Bottom line is, I had NEVER been around that area before and I only live about 20 minutes away from there! is crazy. We had a wonderful time and weather was soooo gorgeous today that we ate in the outside tables of the restaurant. I felt like I was somewhere in Beverly Hills California. Will definitely be going back there again.

When we got there we still had to wait a few people. So, we sat by the bar and enjoyed some nice cold wine. I had a glass of Pinot Grigio. I was buzzed within 10 minutes (I think I should have a drink more often):
As an appettizer, three of us decided to order the Bruchetta/mozarella/peppers platter. We did not realize the portions were so small (not very common in NY). So, I ended up with this:

Pizzas looked Yummy so, my friend and I decided to share one. We decided to have the vegetable pizza. They were thin and crunchy. Definitely satisfying. I had one slice left over! This is what I ate:

We were too full (or just too hot!) for dessert so, we split the bill and called it a day!

After our brunch we all went our separate ways. I decided to drive to my friend's house and visit her and her babies. When I got home I was starving!!!!!!! I had my one slice of left over pizza plus a very delicious fruit salad which I prepared in like 2 minutes:

I relaxed while eating my bowl of fruit and then later on had a bowl of raisin bran cereal for dinner with organic skim milk because 1. I need to go grocery shopping 2. It was the only convenient {healthy} thing to eat at home.

All and all it was a great day. I had a cup of decaffenaited green tea before bed.

I'll be back later with my sunday happenings. Gotta get some homework done for my class.

Im excited because there is no work today. THANK GOD! Happy belated fourth :)

Have any of you heard of CIPOLLINI before? If so, what do you think of it?

Thanks for reading.
