For the past week, I've kept track of what I ate during the day on my blackberry-Keeping a food diary keeps me in control and conscious of my food intake. I would type it all here but, I’m sure you guys would rather see the photos of the delicious foods I’ve had.
My breakfast lunch & snacks remained pretty consistent (compared to previous weeks). My dinners were the best parts as I actually sat down and enjoyed my food, Overall, I made sure all my meal were balanced and that I ate when hungry (usually a granola bar or piece of fruit).
Dinner 02/23/2010
Grilled Chicken with Garden saldad including tomatoes & olives; topped off with my traditional homemade dressing (1 teaspoon olive oil, vinegar, a lil salt...YUM!)
On SATURDAY 02/27/10 I had a girl's day out with a few of my girlfriends. The highlight of the day was going to "CRUMBS" an AMAZING cafe/dessert place by the New York University campus. I didnt feel like eating anything sweet that day (maybe because the choices were overwheming and I could not decide for one!) but I did have a whole lot of fun taking photos:
The Menu (Sooo much to choose from)-- I had a Skim Vanilla Latte--the BEST i've ever had:
Pretty Cupcakes in a Tray....
Assortment of Cakes...
My Favorite one...
The Prettiest Cupcakes I've EVER seen:
Carrot Cake Heaven
Some More EyeCandy:
In addition to checking out cool spots in the Village; my friends and I also got manicures at "Dashing Diva" which is a very famous (and expensive) nail place by the NYU campus. I got caught up in the spontaneity of the day and couldn’t say no. The manicure experience was worth every penny and it was the best I’ve ever had. Maybe because I was in good company? ;)
We also enjoyed some DELICIOUS Thai food @ Cafeteria:
Saturday 2/27/10. It made me realize a few things:
1. I must enjoy New York City more often!! There is sooo much to do. I live in this wonderful city and my busy life has prevented me from taking advantage of this great blessing. But not anymore ;) lesson learned.
2. Being spontaneous and living in the moment is a wonderful thing.
