I'm attending my first blogger event (in New York City!)

Hello my loves!

Happy Wednesday. Hope you're all having a phenomenal day today. I'm here just working away as usual but taking a few minutes to say hello and to share something super exciting.

I discovered blogging about 5 years ago (after randomly coming across other blogs) and completely fell in love with it. Soon after, I created my own blog (this one!) and its been an amazing journey so far. Although I have changed the name of the blog a few times, one thing that has remained constant is the fact that this space has been a support through my ups and downs and has been super cathartic on a personal level. I've also met tons of people whom share my same interest and passion for health, fitness, and creating an amazing life.

Although I've been blogging for quite sometime, something that may surprised you is that I have never in my life attended a bloggers event. Hence, when I received an email from Social Fabric informing me about their upcoming event right here in New York City- So Fab On The Road, I knew this was a sign and my chance to finally be part of something fabulous.

When I blog I simply write to my hearts content not thinking about much else but simply connecting with my readers and offering as much value as possible. I have been writing (pen to paper) ever since I can remember! So, when blogging came in to my life it was truly a God sent and another outlet for me to express myself. With that said, I have very limited knowledge when it comes to SEO or any other "techniques" that many bloggers use to grow the reach of their blogs. Hence, I am very excited for this year's SoFabU event key note speaker, Jessica Woodbury. Here is a quick summary of what she will sharing with us:

Jessica will cover basic SEO and specific blogger strategies to work on building search traffic and how to increase domain authority. This presentation will help bloggers consider readers who are finding their blog from search, how to attract them, how to retain them, and how to increase domain authority with a specific SEO-posting strategy so all posts rise in search. This will focus less on technical things like alt tags and meta descriptions and more on writing and photo strategies.

Other topics to be covered during the event include video, email marketing, sponsored posts and so much more. For a full agenda of the NYC event, please check out the So Fab on The Road- NYC info page.
