So this morning I decided to "experiment" further with the protein “idea” and I decided to add 1 boil egg to my breakfast. I usually (90% of the time) have a Thomas Cinnamon-Raisin Bagel (250 calories) with a little bit of cream cheese plus some coffee or green tea. Although the bagel claims to have 8 grams of protein; by mid morning I’m usually already craving something sugary. Hence, this only emphasized that something must be “off” in my brain; something missing.
The satisfaction I felt the other day with my Dunkin Donut got me thinking…Perhaps “real” protein is what my body is craving for…at least in the morning hours?? (Rather than processed/added bagel protein).
So anyways, I had my one boiled egg with a tad bit of salt on my way to work this morning and once at work I had my usual bagel plus the coffee (with skim milk). It is now 11:35 am and I have not felt any cravings…. Lets see how my experiment works and how I feel for the rest of the day. Will keep everyone posted.
Happy Friday :D
