Wow is late and I'm exhausted but I couldn't go to bed without sharing today's menu. Thank god tomorrow is finally Friday!!!!!
So, for breakfast this morning I had a fruit salad (courtesy of my mom who is visiting me...love her!) plus a peanut butter sandwich on a 100 calorie roll (similar to the one from yesterday). I also had some coffee w/ skim milk to wake me up this morning.
Fruit:
(Ok...picture might not look "great" as I took it from inside my car and my passenger side is not necessarily photogenic...I need better backgrounds).
Lunch was a VERY delicious & satisfying turkey and Swiss sandwich from Blimplie.
Side note: Although Subway or Quiznos seem to be the "trend" now-a-days...I love Bilmpies because it brings back memories from my childhood. My dad used to take my sister and I there all the time when we were younger. They def have a loyal customer in me :)).
This was only a 6-inch sub but it looks so big! (maybe because its toasted?). I ate 3/4 of it because I was distracted on my blackberry. I could have been good with just half of that. Nonetheless, I definitely enjoyed every bite.
And last but not least...SUSHI!!!! (This is what I had for dinner):
I met a friend in Manhattan for dinner around Broadway and 66th street. We found a really nice sushi place where we were able to eat outside. It was a really nice evening despite it being over 90 degrees today!!!
We caught up on what had been on since the last time we saw each other and indulged in this delicious meal.
The yummy one with the "green" stuff on top (Avocado) is called "Dragon" and had eel and Cucumbers. The other one is Salmon. I absolutely loved this meal. :D
After dinner my friend and I walked through central park towards the train station and certainly burned some extra calories. Too bad I was wearing my flats rather than my sneakers. But, fashion is fashion ;)
Ok guys, made it through my second day. It was rough, I craved some sugar mid afternoon but I worked through it. I had some raisins to calm myself. It worked and despite my fear, it didn't trigger me to eat anything else.
Feeling good.
So, sushi is one of my TOP favorite foods. What is yours?
