FoCuSed

Week 1, Day 3

So, today was also a pretty good day in terms of my plan to eat healthier and “move” more. Im feeling good.
Here is the meal run down for the day:

Breakfast:

-1 Thomas Cinnamon raisin bagel w/ 2 teaspoons of 1/3 less fat cream cheese (240 cal bagel)
-Green Tea
-Small cup of coffee with 2 tablespoons of regular milk (I drink coffee at work and for some reason no one buys Skim milk and I refuse to drink black coffee. The key? Have the regular milk but in MODERATION.

Lunch (@ around 1:30 PM)
-Turkey & cheese sandwich on two slices of 100% whole wheat bread
-100 calorie cheetos snack

Snack (@ around 4:20 pm)
-3/4 tangerine, some grapes
*Snack was eaten in my car while on my way home. I had class tonight so had to made sure I had a fruit snack so I wouldn’t be starving later. Considering im constantly on the “go” during class dates; I HAVE to eat in my car---keeping my eyes on the road but enjoying every morsel).

Snack (@ 7:20PM before marketing class)
-100 calorie almond packet w/ small 40 calorie box of raisins

Snack (@ 8:30 post marketing class)
-1 Kashi Granola Bar (140 healthy calories)

Dinner:
-Lettuce & tomatoes w/ homemade dressing
-1 chicken fajita w/ lettuce
-1/2 cup of homemade beans

Water:
-3 large bottles ;)

x-tra Steps:
-Also went up about 5 flights of stairs with my VERY HEAVY book bag. This has to count!!! :) Thank god the elevator showed up right before I passed out. I was running late for class so couldnt really take my time going up those 10 flights that take me to Graduate Statistics.

SIDE NOTE: The menu might look like “too much” snacking. In reality, this is good considering that 1. I was hungry 2. small [healthy snacks] rev up your metabolism. 3. Today was one of my very long & hectic days. If you are hungry and you don’t feed your temple (aka body); the body goes in to “starvation mode” and holds on to everything for dear life. This is not good if you are planning to lead a healthy life.

My day has come to an end. Have to go to bed. Xoxo

With Love,
Belle
