Before I get on with the subject in my title:
Hi Blog World! Is been a while! A lot of great things going on in my life. I am happy, I feel blessed and I am very grateful. Thanking god everyday for my blessings. A lot of it probably has to do with the way I have been taking care of myself and changing my perspective on a lot of things…in a positive way. Also, I have been working on getting to know myself more and going through a period of “self-discovery”. Stay tuned for an update post. As of now, just want to share some inspiration and my thoughts on something that happened this week. Enjoy.

Ok here goes:
So the other day I decided to go for a run around my neighborhood. This might be ‘normal’ to a lot people that live in suburban areas but I live in New York City and in a borough were running around your neighborhood is not necessarily something people do. Thankfully, I moved in to an apartment complex where I do see people working out outside and I love it. That motivated me to do the same.
So last Tuesday after work I went for my run at a nice track that’s right behind my apartment (am I lucky or what?!). Anyways, as I started to walk for a warm up I noticed this overweight gentleman sitting in one of the bleachers on my way to the track. He was alone, just looking around. Maybe relaxing after a long day? Maybe enjoying the outdoors? Maybe waiting for someone? Anyways, I passed him by, did my warm up walk and then began my jog. I jogged for about 3.16 miles and even stopped to walk a few times (stil building up my running stamina). I even veered away from the track and jogged around the complex noticing stores and buildings I hadn’t seen before. During my cool down walk I walked by the bleachers where I had seen the gentleman earlier. It was about 30-35 minutes later and there was this man, still sitting there, same exact position he was in when I walked by him earlier. And then I thought to myself: wow! I just did something good for my body and my health in those 30-35 mins and this man still sitting there, half and hour later, got nothing accomplished aside from maybe getting some rest?
That might sound a little judgmental and I really speak out of ignorance because I don’t know who is man is or what his reason was for sitting there. I just want to use this as example and to make a point that time waits for no one. Those 10, 15. 20, 30, 40 minutes will pass you by whether you use them to your advantage or not. Everyday you have a choice to use your time wisely and use the time god blesses us with each day to our advantage and to do something that steers us closer to our goals and objectives. This is something I’ve always thought about.
What do you want to accomplish? Are you using your time wisely and to your advantage?
Remember: time waits for no one.
