Le Petit Cup of Ice Cream

So, I’d like to share that I had quite a stressful day yesterday. Work was the usual drag and I also had school in the evening. When I finally got to my apartment (past 9pm) I was famished! Didn’t know what the heck to have for dinner so, I had to put something together—fast! And here’s what I came up with:


1/2 a large tortilla, heated, and stuffed with grilledchicken & romaine lettuce. Plus, a 3/4 cup of homemade beans on the side. It was a good, well-rounded dinner.

After dinner, I decided to kick back and relax considering that 1. It was Thursday night (aka, almost Friday) 2. I have gotten through a tough day/week 3. Just because.
I then had the sudden urge to have some ice cream. Keeping my motto of “everything in moderation” in mind, I served myself a small portion in a ‘le petit’ cup I found stashed back in my cupboard. It was cookies and cream and, can you believe I managed to only have this small portion:

After my small portion of ice cream, I finished watching TV, took a shower and went to bed—FAST! All at the speed of light! No need to stay on my couch and risking more cravings. My plan worked. =)

Question for my readers; when you have a craving, can you manage to just have a small portion every time? If so, what’s your secret?

  1. I either have to go out and buy a single portion and really enjoy it, or have my husband put stuff out of reach. Sounds silly, but it works for me. :D
